Nissan patrol 2004 3L Gu loss of power

Had just travelled down from mackay to goldcoast car was working perfect no issues, an hour later turn back on to go shops it had lost all power when accelerating holding gears etc

We ended up driving it back from GoldCoast to mackay like this took forever!

Since then we have replaced turbo, vacuumed lines, thought the torque convertor but diesel mechanics are saying its not it. have put a boost cage in it to see what its doing it will rev to 25psi then go back down to 15 once it goes into gear still holds gears until in 3rd gear and will run fine however still slow and sluggish. Can be hard to start at times has stopped blowing smoke out the back of it usually blows some sort of grey smoke.

Will be replacing maf sensor this weekend sees if that changes anything. each time we have changed something it has slowly gotten better. when we change the vacuum lines it took off with some cuts then next day back to been sluggish again when we discount the maf sensor the engine light does not come up which it is meant to.

Was thinking it may be in limp mode and need a code cleared?

This has the injector pump symptoms all over it. Have your mechanics taken a look at that?
