    I'd get a second opinion on the timing... Most places will advance it too far to get peek performance when the engine is at running temp but can create a bad knock when cold. Is not good for your engine if that's what it is.

    Yes I took mine to Jindabyne and I thought the next morning that I had wrecked the motor however when I got back down it quieten didnít down, I have a 18g turbo and 12 mm boosted pump so itís been advanced a lot.

    Have you tried different oil?
    I've experimented with many different oils and brands over the years and it amazes me how the engine sounds and "feels" under different lubes.

    its the internsl pump adjustment nothing user servicable . Its part of the pump set up
