Hey its Budgie with GQTROL
hey everyone,
i am budgie, 30 yrs old and live in Melbourne's Yarra Valley.
Pneumatic and brake fitter for tipper truck and trailers.
I have owned 3 patrols since i was 18yrs old, a 1988 TB42 black over silver - i got T boned and a ride off.
2nd patrol was a 1990 maroon TB42 aswell with great capability and i rolled that one just doing 50kms on a gravel road in the high country just outside of Dargo.. weather conditions were bad.
now i have owned a 1992 GQ wagon (known as #gqtrol) TD42 turbo blue/silver for about 6 to 7 yrs now and have the good old cancer in the roof.
i have come here for some information i did have an old account here from 10 yrs ago but was unable to recover it so i made a new one today, i actually thought this forum was dead but after a google
search today i found a write up of Nhoward's rust repair on hes high roof GQ in NZ. Its a great thread!! ill be asking him a few questions later on and will start my roof in December and start my own thread on that.
Happy to be back on the forum so many helpful people out there. thanks!
