LWB rear door arches on two tone GQ - pictures needed

    Hello everyone!
I am in the process of repainting my two tone 1997 LWB GQ and I am in doubt if the lower color coming from the rear of the car "folds into" the second row door arches when the doors are open.

For example, my GQ is blue top with yellowish gray lower sections (a few centimetres above the door cladding and from there it goes up and around the fenders). Since the rear/second row door has the arch to the rear wheel well and the lower color comes from the door cladding into the rear wheel arch, I donīt know if with the door open all I should see is blue or maybe the yellowish gray will be there on the lower part as well. I mean, on the inside part of the door arch.

    Hard to explain

Anyway, can someone with a two tone painting LWB around that year help me enlighten this with a couple of pictures of the side of their GQ with the second row door opened?

    Cheers from Brazil.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

This is not my picture, but what I am looking to understand is if this part of the rear door arch is single color (using the top color, which in my case is blue) or if it should be dual color as well, just like the outside of the car.

I have been painting blue-only sections and it is coming out sweet. In a few weeks will start the sides where the two tone thing gets into play.

This is how the roof is looking:

This is how the hood/bonnet is looking:

    Agreed mate.
I think in early series 1's up to end of 91 only the St and ti's were colour coded and after then I think only dx were grey

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS AFTER!!! I see that on the very low section, on the footsteps, the lower color actually folds up a little bit. That should be easy enough to mask.

Thanks a lot mate, you are legend!
