Electric windows GU patrol

Hi I cannot get the motor on the LHS front window to go up, it will go down but not up, any ideas where to start.
I was going to remove the motor and reg and plug it into the rear passenger to see if it’s the motor.

Could it be a dirty contact on the switch?

It is almost always the switch. They can be taken apart and cleaned - but it is an ongoing Patrol problem. Sooner or later it will happen - especially to windows that are not often used. If you continue to move the switch up and down rapidly for a while it sometimes works again. I have often thought about getting a gold plating kit and plating the contacts inside the switch.
