One mad Nissan owner!

Morning guys,

My name is Beck and I'm from country Victoria.

Hubby and I have owned our Y62 for about 3 years now. We love the car but I've been a bit protective of it since we bought it so it's never been off-road (we still have a '97 model TiL).

Since we have purchased it we have had the issue of the flaking paint and it wasn't until hubby joined a FB group that he noticed it was a common occurrence. He took it to Nissan and they told us to get a couple of quotes to respray it. Nissan accepted one of the quotes which was the dearest one of the two for less work (just doesn't make sense).

Anyway very long story short, we got the car back after the respray two days ago with a shit tonne of issues:

Two side windows were etched out all along them from the sander and need replacing (they didn't even tell us when we picked it up but supposedly knew about it)
The car had the diff locks still engaged but the knobs were in normal drive mode (we have never had it in 4wd since we purchased it)
Guy drove it with diff locks on into the workshop to fix it, turning 90 degrees on concrete at full speed (well as fast as it would go)
Paint job patchy and blobbed on in places
The chrome has been buffed with god knows what and is now all dull
Panels no longer line up
Pieces of the trim are missing around the doors
V8 badge gone
Other defects that I can't remember

The worst part is this:

They had it two weeks longer than planned
Hubby was 100% positive he had seen it drive past in Ballarat two weeks in to them having it (not too many TiL's up there with canoe racks!)
We took it in with less than 1/4 tank of fuel as we didn't have time to fill it. It came back with 3/4 of a tank of fuel
Car is now driving like a piece of crap
Third row seats up when we have never used them (not the worse thing in the world but someone's been sitting in them)
Took it to a mechanic who put it on the computer and the last 36 starts have multiple failures in the car from 4WD to general failures (they had the car for 5 weeks)

Our car is still under warranty (took out the 5 year one) and has only been driven on tar roads

Sorry for the long introduction but we are just furious with what they have done! We got our first caravan two weeks ago and can't even use it as we don't know how much damage they have done to the car

Welcome to the forum mate. Sorry to hear about the bad service. I would dump it back at Nissan or give the big national Nissan boys a ring.
