Can someone please tell me what this is?!

    Hey all,

I've been starring at these slots for years with no clue what they are. Could someone please enlighten me? I want to mount a bluetooth speaker in here!

My UHF hand piece is mounted there.
I took off the large square blank and mounted it to that.

The slots seems to be for the A/C temperature sensor.

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't seem to have a temp sensor there Bazilian, maybe on TI models? Turns out it's a great spot for a microphone from my new stereo!

On my TI, with climate control aircon, there is a tube there which must be the temp sensor that BrazillionY60 mentioned.

As stated above, I had seen in the Workshop Manual, that it's the vent where a sample tube is attached for the A/C Temperature Sensor takes it's samples from

Every time you drive, you put a dollar coin into each slot. When later on your head gasket, fuel pump, clutch, cracked piston, glow plugs, alternator, cracked head, cooling system, death wobbles, or anything else needs attention, you have a reserve of cash. 😂😂😂
