Squirt a smidgen of oil onto the bore of number 5. If the reading rises quite a bit, it has a stuck ring or worn rings. If it only rises a little, then a valve is the problem.

Since its above the minimum, my idea isn't relevant. Have you got an inspection camera to see if it has the same amount of carbon build up as the others?

No problem, Mark. Would a dribbling injector clean out some of the carbon? Nissannewby would be the one to ask. Bugger the camera can't see around corners. Mine came with a mirror.

Accidentally topped up nearly half a tank of Petroleum into our Old Mans 2.4L diesel Hilux as a kid, that sure Bunnyhopped the carbon clean out of it in the day, knocked all the carbon out of me too driving it home from the servo until the realisation
