Jameson and Surrounds quick weekend bash.

A few quick pics from a cracker weekend in the Mexican Alps with MB. Drove up Friday night and stayed on the Jameson River just down from Wrens Flat on the Silverman Spur track. .

Checked out the Jameson River Inn and River down there. Awesome spot would be wicked on a hot day. .

Quick spin but no fishies .

Wizzed up quickly to check out this hut but she wasn't the best lol no fireplace and built low so the water would pour in in the rain lol. .

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Next morning another cracking day. Arvo before rocked into camp didn't see giant boulder and mashed into it with GQ and rolled it over kinda in the middle of the entrance into camp. . Anyways 12Ved the shit out a it and put it back where it was for future safe access or some other dickhead to smash into. . .

Back down to the Upper Jameson

Back across the Low Saddle and then into Mitchell's and up to the Slate Mine which had never been up to before so was good to see. . .

Quick lunch break then back out through Mitchell's Track. Expecting it to be a pretty good drive but apart from a couple of steep and rocky bits was very easy going. .

Top end had been graded into a highway, assume good views of Eildon but. .

Quick coffee stop in Jameson then cruise home through Big River Rd, very pleasant drive. . .
