Is this a known problem ?

I hit the hard tracks had 2 decent hits underneath my 92 Gq waggon, I already had a slow leak under my gear box but when I was airing up after the tracks I saw a wet spot under the Patrol and g/b fluid was dripping out and not a slow drip ethere, and yes it was g/b oil because my transfer case has ATF in it,I have diagnosed that the oil is coming out of the out put shaft to the transfer case, now I am hoping it is just the seal has blown out but I was wondering has anyone else come across this and was there something more sinister happening from the g/b to cause the shaft to lose it's centre position?

Sorry mate, I'm confused. You have ATF in your Transfer box? Is the car an auto or manual?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

It is a manual but I read that ATF was better for the transfer case, it was after that I found out that you do that for the auto hubs because of the drag from normal g/b oil.
