    Good Work Graigstar Mate
10g Mate, I can highly recommend purchasing/carrying a hardened Allen/Hex key thingy for your project underway and or any unfortunate CV replacements that hopefully never arise out there

Standard mild steel Allen/Hex keys do as much damage to themselves as your poor old faithful studs Brother!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

I had a 1/2" to 3/8" adaptor coz I have a 3/8 allen key thingy like that MB. The adaptor split in two HAHAHA.

How tight should I do up the bearings?? They were a tad loose, I just tightened them up by hand using the 2 pronged socket, didn't use a ratchet/handle.

The book says to really tighten the bearing to 145ftlbs - 167nm. Rotate the hub a few times in both directions. Loosen the nut to zero, then tighten to sweet bugger all, (3-5nm.) Turn the wheel again and do another 3-5nm. There is more to it but in the manual Pages FA4-6

    Yeah, that is bugger all.

Out of the 4 small screws in the locking ring, 3 were stuffed, had to butcher some small screwdriver bits to get 'em out. Surprisingly I found 4 screws of the same thread, bloody miracle.
