Back again
G'day to all,
I was regular around 2009-10-ish under a different handle. Could not remember all those user/ passwords so just re-registered.
I have a 4.8Lt GU petrol, bought brand new in 2004, still going good, been very happy with it. Joined 'Adeventurers 4WD in Adelaide and did quite a few good trips with those guys, Notably Cape York, Birdsville, etc.
In 2014 I bought a 2nd Patrol, 2009 DX 3.0lt diesel - ex Telstra, set it up as a escort/pilot vehicle, living and travelling and did escorting all around Australia. Getting paid and doing what I loved doing.
Sold the DX and now retired from work and enjoying that too. Bought a caravan and done a few good trips in that as well. Karajini Nat Park, Adeles Grove -Lawn hill Nat Pk, Exmouth, Pilbara region, etc, etc. Looking forward to doing more once this covid backs off
So happy new year to everyone
and, G'day from Wattie

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
