ARB Compressor Wiring
Hi Gents,
I'm in the process of reinstalling my ARB air compressor this time without the harness since it melted. It's only for airing up the tyres, and I'm no expert with wiring so hoping someone here can help. This is where I'm at right now, and I'm not sure how the pressure switch needs to connect in this scenario.
Is anyone able to give me some guidance wiring the pressure switch and the console switch into this?

Cheers

Hi mate, not sure why yoy have drawn a buss bar but assume that is your relay or something. The pressure switch is tapped into the positive side of the supply. I would tap it in between the fuse and the relay so it cuts the relay. It is a gate in the positive only side. Pos in pos out.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

In thsi diagram it shows the pressure switch between the switch and the relay mounted on the compressor. The pressure switch can be anywhere in your air lines though. It measures the line pressure.

Red is positive from switch pin 3. DK BLU then goes from pressure switch to relay and is also a positive.
Your positive from battery to fuse, then to Pin 2 on ARB Switch and 30 on your relay.

What is this? Is that the relay or a buss bar or something?

As it is drawn there the pressure switch is redundant. The flow of positive must travel through the pressure switch. You drawing it is going through And around it.

So in that drawing the RED is coming from the switch pin 3 (positive from carling switch to pressure switch).
DK BLU goes from Pressure switch too Relay. Switched relay, relay turns on compressor.
