    Trouble separating cv joint from axle

    Hi all! i have broke the end off the front right axle on the gu ute and i have a spare left hand side complete axle assembly. I am trying to separate the birfield joint from the axle so i can use the good one from left side on the right side, question is can this be done and if so can someone tell me how to achieve this. Thanks Badger

    Get a bigger Hammer. I have only done it once and it was a tough gig mate. I would 100% chase a whole short side replacement. I car a spare set of long and short side all greased and bagged zip tied to the bottom of the cargo barrier

    I thought there was an internal circlip holding the shaft in as well???? I have a spare CV and shaft but never bothered to look at it.
