    TB42 to NA Barra swap

I'm fairly new to this forum and haven't posted before.

I know what I need to do to make the swap but am not sure what is required in the regard to getting the swap engineered. I've seen some people say that it wont need to be engineered as it is a reduction in displacement, I have also seen people saying that as there is a fair power increase it needs to be engineered.

I'm just wanting to clarify what I need to do because I don't want to get stuck into something and then have troubles with it later down the line. I'm in WA if that helps.

    Thanks in advance.

It needs to be engineered as the Barra engine did not come out in a patrol, same as if you wanted to put a Corolla engine into a patrol, engine capacity does not come into it. Will probably require a brake stopping test also. I would get a GVM upgrade done at the same time, probably won't have to do much for that in WA from my experience.

What he said. Talk to certified engineer first. Dont even bother asking on Flog Book. Your answer will be, Put some 35's on it an just send it bro.
