Clutch Engagement Adjustment_Good pedal height off floor now (08 GU IV)

Thought I would share my successful clutch pedal height adjustment experience, required for install of 4 Terrain Ultimate ER2 clutch/SMF).

12 months ago, replaced worn OEM Clutch/DMF (170,000kms) with a 4 Terrain Ultimate ER2 clutch/SMF and has been a pain with the clutch taking up (engaging) pedal 20-50mm off the floor.

As there is no clutch slave cyl piston rod adjustment (rod thread/locknut) to reduce the excessive (10mm) clearance of slave cyl rod tip to clutch fork, so went ahead and did adjustment to the clutch servo unit rod effective length to pedal (now half pedal height / full engagement)_Bliss.

Good old days, we could adjust rod length (such an easy mechanical fix _ part of life).

Method of Adjustment _ Final adjustment / Increased effective length of clutch servo unit rod length to pedal_rotated rod clockwise overall (1.75 turns) with clevis yoke still pinned to clutch pedal arm.

Difficult to get clevis yoke to clear clutch pedal arm _ GU IV clutch servo unit is secured in place against firewall with the same 4 stud/nut fasteners (access from inside of cab) that fix the the clutch pedal assy bracket. So big job (tight space) to shift servo unit/master cyl forward to provide clearance so that the clevis pin can be removed from rod yoke to pedal assy to be able to rotate yoke (anticlockwise) to lengthen rod as required.

First removed bottom dash skirt, dropped steering column (to rest on seat), undid servo rod lock nut, removed clevis pin/clip (to free up assemble to assist in rotating for adjustment_thread) and then turned the shaft by applying rotating force with fingers against the straight knurl on servo rod at clevis yoke (with jiggle).

Did it 2 turns, put back together and found slave rod to fork clearance was <1mm, so then without removing any panels/steering column/clevis pin, went in under dash again, undid clevis yoke locknut and just reduced back the rod effectiveness length (rotate rod anticlockwise 1/4 turn_o/a adjustment then 1 3/4 turn from OEM setting), gave 1-2mm slave cyl rod clearance at fork and 1/2 pedal height of floor for full clutch engagement (also provides improved pedal pressure/feel _ all good).

Need small hands and feel ambidextrous.
