Can't get gear surround past the handbrake lever
Hi
I have a 2006 GUIV 3.0 Patrol ST-L and I am trying to remove the gear surround. I have already removed the 2 screws from the L & R near the bottom AND the screw under the ashtray. I've removed the transfer case gear knob and I've popped the surround off the retaining clips but for the life of me I can't get it past the handbrake lever!
Any advice?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Gotta hold your tongue right mate. The covers do flex a little so you can go that little bit extra to get it past the lever. I've taken mine off too many time to care about now. Lol. As Mudrunner stated too. Make sure the little front lower panel is off the dash too. Might give you that little bit extra.
