What worm drive hose clamps do you use?

    Hi

    What brands are not rubbish?
I bought some from repco and supercheap (3 different brands) and they ranged from useable to absolute rubbish; but I can't recall which was which ;-).

I just use the ones from bunnings. They seem okay for clamping fuel lines and anything else.

I used T Bolt Hose Clamps on my Turbo and Intercooler hoses, much better than the Worm drive hose clamps in my opinion.

For coolant or turbo? My work imports the Breeze range of clamps. We sell probably 10 different sorts of clamps. Depending on what it’s for, the type of clamp you choose, and what it’s made from, partial stainless, full stainless etc.
Tbolts are good for air intake, spring loaded for boost applications, constant torque clamps are brilliant for cold water leak applications, the. You have industrial Tbolt clamps, hi torque worm drive, lined worm drive ( used for soft hose like silicone) then you run of the mill worm drive. Also fuel injection clamps, which are good for real small OD sized hoses.
Coz I can, I don’t use the standard worm drive clamp. Only because they tear the shit out of the hose they are clamping onto. Rubber or silicone. So I use lined clamps as a minimum, but have industrial TBolt clamp, spring loaded and constant torque clamps on my Patrol.

I'm just using them on low pressure power steering, coolant, fuel etc.
Surprisingly the various local stores only have a couple of types and very limited on size.
All the wire clamps on the patrol are stuffed do replacing as I go.
