Have had no issues with heating have towed a 3 tonne Caravan up the steepest hills imaginable at full speed and temp gauge hardly moves.
Who makes the radiator - ADRAD or someone else/ I have an ADRAD Ally in mine with a S/C Optimiser 6500, have not run it in the heat yet. Mine has a 60- 65mm core depth - hats yours?

Love the idea of an LS. But not the fuel bill that comes with it.

Wow that is a very sweet install there mate. Yes Heath is a bit of a Legend for this conversion. Why did the body have to come off? what needed to happen to the chassis?
Also.... MR NISSAN PLEASE TAKE NOTE >>>>>> The bloody Alternator and AC Compressor go On The Bloody Top PLeaSe!!!!! Nice Build.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

The body off is a whole part of the conversion. In order to realign the engine mounts and allow for the gear box (6 speed Allison). The entire front end of the chassis is re-worked and reinforced. There is a lot of engine there compared to a ZD30.
While the body is off the rear suspension mounts were also reinforced.
Due to the weight (and Power) increase I have upgraded the suspension and the brakes (Custom Built Dobinson Springs & King Remote Cannister Shocks and Willwood 6-Piston Brake upgrade)
Tried to keep everything on the exterior as stock as possible.

Did you do both front and rear Willwoods? Is the stopping result a significant improvement - I am looking to the upgrade on my GQ, yes, change rims to 17" as well

Whats the extra weight?
One thing a customer on mine is spewing about when he did the Cummins conversion. He said no way in hell he would do the 4wd'ing in it now to what he used to do. Far too front end heavy. Quite unbalanced he said. But he did also say it would pull Jesus from his cross, and how balls to the wall. So he's happy with it. 1100nm running through a Nissan 5spd box, which he will be changing out. He gets a few months out of the box until he completely strips the teeth from third gear. Lol.
Edit :
Did they fit the DPF to the exhaust? Or isn't it required for Patrol spec?

Both front & Rear. No comparison with the originals.

Best part of 200 kg heavier (just the Motor) and the gearbox is about 50 kg heavier.( Approx. ) as a part of the conversion the whole front end has been reworked and as a result the balance is excellent. Have seen no degradation off road, if anything the huge power increase more than masks it.
Suspension and brake upgrade is a must given the weights.
