    Go Bigger Or Go Home

    20200414_161433.jpg20200414_161257.jpg

Have owned this thing since new in 2015

Drove it for just on 3 years in as my work car ride Blew up the turbo with less than 100,000 km on the clock and just on 3 weeks after the warranty ran out.

So instead of just fixing the ZD30 I opted for a bit of a boost.

Enter stage Left PID Diesel Engineering and the ubiquitous Duramax LMM 6.6 ltr.

The conversion costs a small fortune and took 4 x longer than expected but was worth very cent.

Wow! Really neat job. Something I should have looked into before I decided to build a kettle. Very impressive mate.

Thats a really smart installation, good job. Tell us all about the conversion when you get a moment, where the engine came from , who did the installation, who supplied the radiator, does it get hot, if not what did you do - all that stuff pls!!!

G'day. The conversion was done by PID Diesel Engineering on the Sunshine Coast. Heath Lawson. Everything is built in house. Complete body off and chassis rebuild. Took about 6 months but was worth the wait. Heath is a the guru when it comes to these engines.

Have had no issues with heating have towed a 3 tonne Caravan up the steepest hills imaginable at full speed and temp gauge hardly moves.

That's the point, you have to look closely to see the mods. Gives it away a bit when you start it up though!
