GQ series 2 Different Headlight wiring issues causing right Headlight issues

Hi everyone. I have a GQ Series 2 RX 1997 model. Instead of the 2 fuses in the kick panel my model seems to have a 25A fuse in the engine Bay.
It seems to split from that fuse and somewhere become 2 wires to enter the combination switch/stalk. it seems that only the Red wire has power and not the one next to it i suspect a blown wire.

If i bridge these connections the right hand light works but im weary doing this with such small wires.

dose anyone have any advice? or knows where this wiring separates so i can test and replace it with suitable wiring.

or is it best to just run an upgrade kit through it. my issue is that if the wire to the switch is faulty then id still have to fix that first before upgrading anyway.

    Thanks for your help
