Hi All - I really appreciate if you give me your thoughts on this. I have Y62-2013.
I have an engine knock when:
1) the car is under load or going uphill
2) low rpm
3) speed around 60kph (sometimes at 30 or 40kph)
4) engine is warm
No knock on cold engine or when it is parked or high rpm. If I accelerate at 60kph, just before or at the start of the knock, it will not knock as it has to be a specific rpm (low).
Oil regularly changed and oil level are ok.
I always use 98 fuel.
The timing chain has been replaced 8 months ago but no difference.
I had knocks in my 2013 series 1 which was diagnosed as the transmission. Nissan said I needed a new transmission. First happened when under warranty and again in 2019. Both times I got Nissan to do a trans flush and reset the computer and the knocking went away. I now change the trans oil about every 2 years.
