    Gu body swap

So is there anyone in qld that can she shed some light on body swaps please?? I currently have a 07 crd wagon auto which i no longer need. My plan is to swap the wagon body over to a ute body i have (01 td42 body) and build my own tray. Id like to keep my suspension setup and not pay an arm and a leg for a coil cab ute. Just wondering if anyone has done something like this and how they went about registration and all that stuff? Have been talking to my mechanic and he says it wont be a problem. I would just have to deregister my wagon, do the swap and take it for rego and roady as a ute then. I missed out on calling department of transport today to ask the question. I know i will need a mod plate for the seats as the ute body is 3 seater. Just want to see if anyone has done this before i go and prep and paint my cab.

you will need to change a couple of body mounts. I reckon an Engineer will be needed but it is certainly possible. Speak to someone that does Blue plates. I dont think you will need to deregister it though, just mod plate it and mod plate for the other stuff while you are there.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
