    Numb bum

    Hello all,
Haven't posted in a while but been daily lurking.
Have come to the conclusion that while I love my Qy I feckin hate the seats.
Have had a big search for a thread that mentioned a mob on the Sunny coast here in Qld.
They offer a drive in drive out swap for the Falcon XR6 seats.
    Can't find the bloody thread.
Thinking it may have been @Brissieboy who had the good oil.
Anybody at all point me in the right direction?
    Much appreciated.

Sorry Touses but the only one I am familiar with is Seats-R-Us at Rocklea. We used to use them for heavy vehicle air operated and damped seats. They do others as well so maybe worth a call.
You could also try talking to the bloke at Opposite Lock at Caloundra - he is usually pretty helpful and knows the business on the coast pretty well.

    Welcome back Touses!
Probably not the answer you’re after but I do swear by portable ‘Roho’ cushions in and out of GQ’s / GU’s and them horrible cattle class airborne seats too mate!
Don’t pay stupid sciatica pain rush money, see what an overstocked distributor nearby can possibly do for you too, hopefully a half price ‘ Mosaic’ too

Took a while to get back to you mate, apologies.
I see seats r us do replacement for landcrab 75-79 but no Patrol. No luck there.
Will give Opposite lock a try.

So, if it weren't you with the info perhaps Matt. You there @nissannewby.

Ta mate, never went away. Self inflicted reduced trading hours, telling clients is covid related, really a "transition to retirement".

Don't know that your recommendation is quite what I was looking for. Probably good for those with a medical condition of the posterior kind.
Will keep it in mind if ever sitting becomes uncomfortable.
So, how are your piles mate?

Hurracan seat bases make a compliantable sear base for a GQ to fit XR seats to the car. I have these bases and XR seats and I am in line for a Hip Replacement. The XR seats are fantastic mate.

The Hurracan bases come with a certification letter that will.make a Blue plate simple enough.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Done feck all on this but the time has come before I too require new hips.

I note the Huracan base are 40mm higher. Are the xr6 seats the lower than the Q seats? I've got naff all between my thighs and the wheel as it is.

Still can't locate that mob on the Sunny coast.

How tall are you? I'm 185cm and have no problems with the extra height from the Hurrican adaptors and XR6 seats, in fact I actually like the extra height given. Wouldn't like to be much taller than me though as head space to the roof is running low.

Man among men me, must be all of 177cm. Nah more concerned about smashing knees getting in and out.

Perhaps the extra height may reduce the kink in right knee to throttle possie which is where the discomfort lays.
