Well I drove through the night all night yesterday to make a long journey on the kids easier. We arrived back at 3am after a non-stop journey. Carried extra jerries to make it home from Sydney without any stops.

I tested positive via RAT yesterday morning, feeling pretty average. Tegan has gone downhill dramatically today also. We had PCR tests done on the whole family today and currently in home quarantine awaiting results.

I'm almost certain I've caught it so is Tegan. This illness is like nothing we've ever had before.

All I can say is thank for for the vaccine. I feel like I've been through a couple of very bad days that I just thought was a very big hangover however I have never seen Tegan floored by any illness this bad before, I'd hate to know what it is like without the vaccine.

Speedy recovery to you and the family mate , whatever you've got .
It's an out of control wildfire now. It's just gonna rip through everyone from here on in.
I personally went from knowing very few people who copped it over the last few years... To now knowing 35-40 in the last few weeks.
Several at work but thank fuck most were on leave...
Few tough as a diamond blokes from work went from a minor sniffle and a funny taste in their mouths, and 24 hours later to a bed-ridden 5 day ordeal from hell.
One of them described it like a flu, sinus infection, massive hang over , headache , toothache , very hard to breath , while having your lungs internally scraped with a barb wire ..
All at the same time 5 days straight no letting up.

i can still clearly remember my last asthma attack 38 years ago, the one in which I gave up and just waited to die. i'm a bit scared shitless to be honest, i know what it's like to not be able to breathe through no fault of your own & it's barking scary.

Sounds farking horrible 10g Mate. Our Ageing Mother/Matriarch also is highly Asthmatic (double jabbed so far available) and would hate (strong word) to see her go done before her time is naturally due!!!!!!

Fark knows what all this hype is about getting Covid

As they keep saying it’s a mild cold. So after getting tested positive last Monday, I can definitely confirm it’s fark all.

Yes, some might suffer with more horrible symptoms but I’m glad we got it mild

Maybe the moonshine has helped keep the symptoms mild

Just for honest clarity, did they say you contracted Delta or Omicron variant?
Reading the news today appeared that they weren’t advising of which strain, just positive or negative it said folks were receiving back.
Unvaccinated, Single, Double or Boostered up too?
