GQ TB42s manual dash cluster into auto???

Just a quick one. Can’t seem to find any info searching.

Need a new dash cluster for my 1991 GQ TB42s Auto, and found one with low km’s to replace mine (mine has only 233,000kms).

BUT...it’s out of a manual GQ, and mine’s an auto. I take it the manual dash cluster will be missing the autos power light and AT temp warning light?

If your original cluster face plate is in good nick, see if you can swap out the individual gauges. Both being TB42 they should fit.

Hey Mudnut. I was going to replace it as I’ve had issues with the dash cluster (tacho moves when handbrake is applied. Lights are all dim on the cluster - power light, handbrake light).

Have been told it could be a bad earth or that the printed plastic circuit on the back of the cluster may have cracked contacts where the plugs insert.

It’s doing my head in as it only happened after i had the cluster removed to have the speedo recalibrated. Before that it worked fine with no issues 🤷🏼*♂️
