Smile Hello from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

    Hello everyone,
I'm both a newbie here to this awesome forum of people ... and to Nissan's with my last one being "The First Four Cylinder Limousine", a Nissan Bluebird which was my very first car back in the 80's and it was a pretty bloody great car back in the day. Yes, I'm an old fart now, but I am transitioning from what has been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned, a Mercedes Benz ML350 V6 Petrol which we drove 11,805km right around Australia in 2.5 weeks last year towing a camper, to a shiny black 2013 Y62 Nissan Patrol Ti 5.6L V8 Petrol, primarily for the towing capability, so we can hit the road again in our brand new hybrid off-road caravan. It will be a sad day soon, when we sell the Mercedes, but I'm looking forward to along and mutually lovable relationship with our huge new beast.

If you have any thoughts, suggestions or advice about our new towing vehicle, I'd love to year from you.
Wish me luck and please be kind.
    Darren

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Sorry Dhuck ... I thought I'd replied to you last week, but it vanished, apparently. Thank you.

Thank you AB, I am sure I will have many questions and it's really nice to know there's such an awsome forum of experienced people to offer advice. The first thing I'm looking for is just a simple nudge bar, like the one on the Merc in the original photo and some nicer wheels. So, any suggestions are welcome.

    Ummm ...
    As a newbie, I'm a bit confused.

I have replied to everyone here, but only some of my replies are visible and I don't understand why. I have seen a message pop up when posting a couple of times, but it vanishes before I can read it.

Can you all see my reply to each individual comment here, or am I going nuts?

Apologies in advance for my stupidity if I'm doing something wrong.
