Having no drive at front wheels on my 4.2 GQ ute I took the hubs off and put the back wheels on stands, starting the motor and engaging Low range. The back wheels turned and the front axles were going ok. I took the Free wheeling hubs tothe workbench and found that the RHS one was not engaging when the centre was tuened to lock. Finding it hard to find a 2nd hand one and new ones were $300 I decided to investigate welding them up to full time 4WD as the vehicle is always on farm and not registered. It carries over a tonne of spray equipment up and down steep country where roll overs happen sometimes and bogging is often. They get a hammering with true 4wding. By welding together the two sliding parts inside the hub, I have now overcome the problem of hubs being unreliable. Hope this helps someone out there
