Oil Filter Spigot ZD30
Did my first oil filter change on the weekend & there was no spigot in the end of the canister. I've always had my mechanic do the filter changes, just thought I'd do one for a change. I have no idea how long one hasn't been in there? I've had the truck for 4 years so it could be 4 years or just the last 5000kms.
Patrolapart want $50 for the spigot!
Wondering if anyone may know of where I could get one cheaper????

Maybe keep an eye out for a wreck and grab the whole oil filter canister.

Good find. I found a different listing for the same product on that site for $15 more. Thanks Plasy.

The original Nissan Spigot (I know what it is now) is still there . . . thew!

Maybe it was never there as they don't come out easily unless you grab them with long nose pliers.

These ZD30 oil filter spigots sound like such a design oversight. Maybe written into dealership servicing procedures but just impractical when it comes to DIY servicing. Why would they be a required design part when no other engine requires them (as far as I know)?

Plasnart, maybe not only with the ZD30.
I thought I was thinking about my D22 Navara, but my 2005 SsangYong Musso Sports that I had for a couple of years, had a Oil filter Canister as well, which had a a Spigot on the base of the oil filter too. As SsangYong used old Mercedez Benz Engines, there might be a few Merc's around with Oil Canister Spigot as well.
