A/C line in the way of turbo induction pipe on turbo install.

    Hi guys.

I’ve been installing a Mamba 18G & top mount intercooler etc over the last 2 weeks. I was hoping to run 4” inlet from the snorkel (Patrol Dr bonnet entry) to the turbo. I now have found that the A/C line to fire wall is preventing the 4” inlet. 3” will probably fit, But rather stay with 4”. Just wondering what others have done? I spoke to the local auto elect today & he said he could possibly mod the pipe work. He didn’t sound to keen & wasn’t overly helpful! My compressor uses the pad mount type hoses. He says he needs at least an inch of pipe left after cutting to fit the fitting, to change the route of the hose. If I cut the line back to the straight section, it would be lucky to be 1/2 an inch left. Basically I need a pad mount with a straight pipe protruding at least that inch. Anyone know if they are available?

Other option is a new compressor with the screw on hoses. Although money’s not an issue, I hate wasting the stuff!

Any help much appreciated cheers Jono.
