Question Driver door central locking actuator faulty

Maybe someone can help me - i'm going mad!

I have a problem with drivers door lock. It will lock and unlock fine with the key, and locks fine with the remote. However, I cant unlock the drivers door at all using the remote. The other 3 doors all open fine with the remote.

I've taken the actuator out (the part that contains the two electric motors), swapped to passenger door, and the actuator works fine on that side. likewise, the passenger one works on the driver door too. Unfortunately i cant keep them that way, as they are side specific. looking at the mechanicals inside the actuator there doesnt appear to be anything wrong. I'm at a loss!
Any suggestions from you guys as to what to look for next ?

    thanks for any suggestions.

Find what pins on the actuator motor connector make it lock/unlock and run power direct to it and see if it works. Then at atleast you can rule out one more thing to look at.

    Mine is doing the same.

I just use the key to lock/unlock particularly in this modern era of car hacking. Each time you hit the button on your remote it sends out a signal that others nearby with the right hardware are able to duplicate and potentially unlock your car. It's a pretty extreme senario but it does happen to thousands of people everyday ... and I'm a bit OCD.

They are a known fault. I have just had my car resprayed and when they were putting it back together they called and said there was a problem with it. I knew this so said to swap ot out. It was $300 from nissan and they fitted a new actuator.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
