Bearing replacement
anybody heard of or used Drivetech 4x4 bearing kits ... looking at using them for the y61 front end

I think they are OK. Jaapanese Bearing is what you are after. Do you have a link to the kit you are looking at buying?

They use Koyo bearings .. all Japanese .. dont have a link to the actual one. The mechanic I got in contact with today priced parts up for me and is not only a Patrol owner but ACTUALLY seems to want to help and not just rip me off ... A written quote emailed to me with the parts listed as Drivetech wheel bearing kit

Go to your local bearing service shop, you will find its cheaper from them. Well I did when I replaced the bearings in mine.
