Morning - I have a 2011 CRD Patrol
I have an oil leak which we cannot find the source of. The engine mount on the passenger sides get's covered in oil and if I run my hand on the underside of the turbo their is oil their. any suggestions? I de grease the engine and the oil is back on the mount and under the turbo within 48hrs. Any guidance would be appreciated. Pic of turbo, and the engine mount engine view and under body view. Only done just over 100,000km's and is running great.
HI,
have you tried taking the hose off the turbo and look inside?
if there is alot of oil present then id advise get a catch can fitted (if you already have a good can on there maybe its full and needs draining) also keep the air filter clean cause when the get blocked the engine chokes and then starts sucking more from the pcv hoses.
either way if its oil in the turbo and thats coming out itll likely be a gasket or loose hose

A VNT type Turbo Charger unit continues to be
utilised:
Please ensure that the Engine Oil level is NOT
overfull when diagnosing a complaint of Oil
Leakage from the Turbo Unit.
