    GQ Patrol - No Keys

    Hi Team,

I just purchased a "Project" 97 Patrol RX Turbo Diesel..its in need of a fair bit of work. I had it transported to my garage , the previous owners have lost keys...so the first job is...either change ignition barrel/key or is it possible to get key cut to suit ?...cheers in advance for any info.

either way the barrel has to come off, so find a cheap second one or take barrel to key cut place to get a replacement key for that barrel and hope they don't change the key format /foot print, that way you can you it for other doors on the patrol

most qualified locksmith can make a key to fit the ignition unless its too worn. If it was one key to suit all locks then it will still fit all locks.

Get locksmith to re-key the locks so the old "Lost" keys can't be used.

Ask Nissan for the lock codes then go to a real locksmith, not a Mr.Minute, and they can cut new keys by the code. I did this with my own Patrol.
