Dead pedal off idle. GU zd30di 2000 auto.

    Hi all.
I z have an interesting issue I was hoping someone could shed some light on.
The symptom is that just off idle - when driving- the accelerator pedal goes dead. As in no response. If you take your foot right off an reapply it it is good until you are coasting along near idle again and go to gradually increase. If you drive aggressive it doesn’t happen.
Thus far, got ecu talk. Shows a 0403 code for accelerator sensor error. BUT Accelerator pedal sensor is good, shows varying voltage as pedal is applied. Full throttle and off throttle sensors switching normally. Continuity good between pedal sensor and ecu. Maf sensor good. No vacuum leaks. Variable throttle voltage at automatic controller as expected. Good connection at injector pump plugs. All earths are good. Air control and swirl actuators working.
I am at a loss. It drives completely normal as far as power etc is concerned just this pedal fault.
I have heard of the injector pumps (vp44) controllers having an issue with a resistor or solder failing but I thought - could be wrong- it would throw a pump code.
    What has I missed..

There is one funny thing I can’t explain. With the ignition on, engine off, if you gradually push the accelerator pedal at where it would produce 1500rpm approximately there is a buzz from under the car. Somewhere around or in the auto box. It’s only catch my attention cause it’s roughly the position the fault occurs. What the hell is that 😂

Yeah. Living the best Patrol life!

First thing I would do is swap out the TPS. Even though you are seeing correct readings. Then take it from there.

Thanks. Yeah it’s a new one. The old one tested fine too though.

Go under it with someone depressing the accelerator for you and search for the buzz...

As Braz said get someone under there to check, could be just a dodge relay?

I checked a mates with a zd30 and auto. His does the same at the same pedal position. It is some relay or something. Probably normal.
