Been wheeling since 1975, caught the bug then and am still infected! I get out into the Vic. High country regularly and enjoy doing at least one long range desert trek per year, usually in the western deserts. Current ride is a GU Patrol tray-back, TD42T, stretched wheel base, 3 inch coils, 2 inch body, 300 litre fuel, 200 litre water in tanks, front LSD, e-locker rear, and running an early GQ gearbox which gives me lower gears plus Marks 10% OD fifth and able to run mechanical PTO winch with 50m of 10mm plasma - although I will lose this luxury as currently converting to 5 speed RE5 tip tronic auto. Always looking for dedicated souls to accompany me on long distance desert expeditions.
