Stoopid Shift Lock!

Hello Patrollers!
Long time no post from me! I hope you are all coping in the weird new pandemic world ....

So. My Shift Lock is stuck as. I can depress the red button and it's fine. Brake lights are fine. Brake fuse is fine. Shift-lock relay looks ok - clean connections. I can't hear any click or any thing on key on. And with console up - the cable doesn't appear to move.

Start battery went very flat on me and that's when the shift-lock starting messing up. I've put a brand new battery in. Resting at >13.1v.

Still no worky. I can slide the mechanism by hand and then the shifter is happy (if I have my foot on the brake). But then the key won't come out. If I slide it the other way - the key comes out but the shifter is locked. This thing:
