    GU transmission cross member offsets

i am in the process of moving my 6bt back closer to the firewall in my 1998 GU , comparing my cross member to a 2008 zd30 ute cross member it only measures 20 mm offset to the rear compared to mine which i dont know if its a 2.8 or a 4.2 as car was originally 2.8 then fitted with 4.2 & then 6bt before i bought it. i was expecting a 30 mm step back , doesnt sound much but im chasing all the room i can get between radiator & engine

Not sure if this helps but I do know the TD cross member moves the box and motor back 10mm from where the ZD cross member sits.
