    2014 30CRD - CAT/DPF Where ?

Many parts diagrams and lists of the South African Model 2014 CRD refer to the vertical exhaust pipe portion pipe just after the Turbo as the Three Way Catalytic Converter ???

    I see no sensor before/after

1 - What is really inside that dump pipe ?
2 - Where is the DPF located ?

    Part number : B08A0VS60A .....

Note that the front section of the Exhaust is listed as part " 200B0VV30A TUBE-EXHAUST,FRONT WITHOUT CAT CONVERTER"

There is nothing further on the exhaust that resembles a DPF ????

The Cat is located on the vertical section yes. The pipe should look like it is has a hotdog muffler there, slightly fatter that the exhaust pipe itself. The cat is inside this. Inside the cat it just looks like a honeycomb configuration and its made from a ceramic material.

You wont have sensors and you also won't have a DPF.

Maybe after half a million k's it might clog up. I gutted the cat on my old ZD30 I had, it made absolutely zero difference to performance.

You wont actually see inside the cat unless you cut one end of the pipe off, as there is a 90 degree bend at either end. Unless you run bad fuel for pretty much all its life you wont have much to be concerned from.
