cleaned the intercooler and pipes today, got a fair amount of oil and residue out.
started it, with a piece of cardboard on the ground to check the exhaust and it was still spitting liquid. But after having a better look, it seemed to be water with small flakes of soot, that dissolved when you touched them.
Im thinking maybe the water was in the exhaust from before i got it serviced (deep hole), haven't really driven it since then, 1.5km tops. Maybe the oil is just from the 190K kms done without a catch can?
Getting a Provent 200 and some MAF sensor cleaner tomorrow. Will keep an eye on the oil levels in the catch can.

cheers for the help, much appreciated.

Your obviously too young to remember then. It will take too long to explain, Google it when you have time.

I noticed you also have the OEM intercooler. Was there any oil deposits on the underside of the cooler? If there is, this means the intercooler is leaking and needs to be replaced. A leaking intercooler will mean leaking boost pressure which equates to lower engine performance and an over working turbo.
