GU 2004 ZD30 ST Rear AC install

    Hi Guys,
    I have a 2004 ZD30 ST that I'm barra converting.
One thing that is a must is the installation of the rear Aircon for the rear passengers.

So I pulled the complete kit out of a 2012 ST yesterday and came to the realisation that the harness fitted currently to my car maybe doesn't have the provision for the aircon controls under the centre console. Has anyone previously done this conversion and could spread some light/knowledge?
I found the wiring for the rear evaporator unit was all there, and I do have the looms from the 2012 model that runs from the multi connector right through to the taillights on both sides of the car, and links through underneath the front seats and Centre console, but I have no access to the manuals to confirm if this harness is compatible with my model (IE plug and play without affecting anything else)

What I pulled from the 2012 is as follows:
    - Both harnesses inside cab from under CC through to tail lights
    - Centre Console with rear fan control
    - Rear A/C switch from dash
    - Rear A/C unit, all ducting, roofliners etc
    - Rear quarter panel card and window surround for both sides
    - A/C hoses from engine bay to a/c evaporator

I have seen mention that the rear window on passenger side is infact different? can anyone also comment on that?
    Cheers,
    Scott

I previously had a 2001 model and considered this project but couldn't find the info I needed. You have gotten further than anyone I know

It's totally conceivable that the wiring is all in place given that the Ti and the ST-L in that year both had rear aircon.

I could be wrong but I think the rear side window is exactly the same on all models except for the dark tint/sticker on the ones with rear a/c (to hide the air ducting).

Good luck with it mate. You also may like to do the rear aircon wiring mod to allow the rear fan to work regardless of whether the a/c is on or off. This allows the kids in the back to have the fan running anytime they need airflow.

    Cheers
