    ZD to TD mounts

Hi just wondering if anyone has or knows of a jig or template for positioning the weld in engine mounts for a ZD to TD conversion. I hear a lot of people say they dummy fit the engine and remove it again but I’d like to avoid that if possible.

Not that I'm aware of. Whilst its time consuming, it would be safer to dummy fit the engine and tack the plates in position. Atleast you know its going to fit then.

Fair enough. I’ve found a few decent points of reference on both chassis’ and also have a couple of other cars at my disposal (with motors in and out). I have done a fair bit of this kind of stuff before I might even knock something up just for curiosity. I’ll probably do the dummy fit up still unless I’m 110% confident. Thinking of just tacking them in then dropping in the motor to check before welding. Could be handy for future reference if it works.
