    Question quick damper question

I'm in the process of replacing my steering damper (old one is pretty notchy). The new one has a bit of a different way of fitting to the vehicle. I'm wondering if I knock those old mounts out and continue or if I actually have the wrong replacement damper.

Just thought I better ask before getting myself into a predicament, the old mounts seem pretty stubborn.

in the old damper the rubber flexes to give some radial movement . with the new one it has what looks like a greaseable ball joint to do the same thing but better i would think . is the new one a nissan supplied part ?

Ah, all good I kinda figured it out. Getting adjustable drag link with new damper mount and putting in new panhard bushes so will do it all at once. Just need to spend more time under the car and less on the internet wondering about stuff...
