1992 GQ Ti Power window problem

    Hi all,

Just bought myself a Ď92 GQ Ti (was warned the windows were Ď a bit dickyí when I got it. I wound the driver side window down on the way home and itís stuck now, wonít go up or down and just clicks and I can hear the motor running.

Iíve also discovered that none of the other windows work, doesnít matter if the child lock is on or off.

Iíve scoured the threads and seen that the windows can be a PITA, just canít find anything similar. Iím as useless as an ashtray on a motorcycle when it comes to car electrics so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

There are many threads regarding these problems and the window module is often the culprit. If you type: window module , into the search box it will show you a few specific threads.

It sounds as if something has come adrift in the drivers door. It is fairly easy to take the door card off to get access.

If itís anything like my GQ it will be the regulator most likely. Iím about to replace my third window as they have all got stuck down bar one over the last 4yrs. All the motors and switches were fine, was always the regulator shafts the motor connects to that were broken. Left rear window just cost me $50 for an aftermarket regulator posted. The genuine Nissan reg is $190 🤨Takes about half hour to replace. My window is currently held up with a stick hahaha. Iíd post pics but donít know how mate.

Yeah that sounds just like the regulator. I had to replace the drivers window regulator in both my GQs. The aftermarket ones don't seem to last, I went genuine this time.
