    electric fan

    dose anyone use electric fans on gu patrol 4;2 or is the standard fan good enough

    I believe the standard viscous fan is plenty good enough, but can be better with a few upgrades. Toy around with adding some oil in the hub so the fan engages more stringently.
    Also might be worth adding the G35 fan on it too , which is a more aggressive fin style for more air flow.

    Electric fans cannot move the amount of air that we need for TDs. Don't bugger around with adding extra oil, all that does is make the fan engage earlier but flow no extra air. A common upgrade now is to swap the fan and hub assembly out for a Misubishi Pajero unit with an adaptor to make it fit. You can buy them off the shelf as a complete kit from Qikazz or UFI for around $500 but you must have a standard size radiator and not a bigger 3 core.
    I plan on swapping out my 3 core radiator for a standard one and using the Pajero fan soon.
