Rotation and ‘Observation’ is absolute key IMO!
We’ve just foolishly half buggered a front pair of KM3’s on a new full set by foolishly/forgetting to re-align after installing offset radius arm bushes on the family faithful GU in its first 10k wear.
In regards Coopers (ST) much earlier ute days, circa 1999, did unfortunately suffer severe tyre bubbles before blowout and honourably was given 5/8 credit back on their 30k performed under 80k warranty.
Could’ve been a dangerous situation and was assured that the ‘D’ timeline marking was the issue IIRC.
We all have Boo-Boo’s but that one scared me personally too much back to BFG.

I'm guessing you guys scoot around on your tyres close to home when they get low to get up to that 100,000 km mark?
Your last point is certainly valid. At about the 80k the Trol took over the hard work of draggiing trailers n the like thru nasty terrain to great camping spots.

The smaller vehicle became daily driver/winter firewood foray vehicle. Never far from home and light work, so, yeah probably got more from them that way.

Forget money (which I suppose is important) when you find a set of tyres that works for you all good, but while you rave about your tyres there will always be someone who has a horror story about the same tyres.

    Don’t know why, it’s just a fact.

Too true mate, There are bound to be duds in every batch. Coopers just seem to be dudder than others in my experience.

Found MTZ’s and KM2’s to be great tyres for me in all conditions
I had MTZ,s on my GQ and I rotated them (5) every 5000km. They lasted 3years and were only just half worn.
Also put a set on mx ex-wife’s Prado 4 years ago and she’s only just due now.
I had KM2 on my GU and they got real noisy real quick, stopped when I rotated them.
Had Falken Wildtrak on my Hilux they’re A/T though. Quietest I’ve ever had love them. Got BFG A/t’s on the new GU

IF YA DONT GET STUCK YA AINT TRYIN HARD ENOUGH........OR YA TOOK THE CHICKEN TRACK

Check out Toyo RT's. 'Hybrid' AT/MT

A tad noisier than the D697 Bridgestones I had previously (2 sets) but a tougher tyre I think, & certainly with stronger sidewalls, which is what I wanted.

    Not bad for under $300

New boots fitted, we’ll see how these babies go.
Very disappointed with the last set of BF’s. something has changed with them, I’m sure

If you still have your old BFGs see if they say where they were manufactured.
