4wd indicator stuck

Good morning,
My Nissan patrol 2012 4WD indication stuck, even though my car running on two wheel. Can anyone suggest possible troubleshooting ?

Check the switch on the transfer case,a heap of crap under the rubber cover will cause it to stay on

Sometimes just going in reverse for a few metres does the job.
