    Big Desert Trip

Was lucky enough to sneak away for a five day trip with the family the weekend before Melbourne Cup. Always wanted to do a bit of a Big Desert trip and far out wasn't disappointed awesome area to explore with some great driving and camping, moved on every night but never had to share the camp with anyone. . .

Got up Wednesday and was in the high 30's the next day so decided to camp for a day on the Wimmera at Wail State Forest instead of haeading into the desert. Wicked spot to chill out and cool off. . .

After a top up in Nhill headed into the south west corner of Big Desert to Red Bluff. Weather was a lot cooler but bloody windy. . .

Short walk up to the Bluff. . Blowing a gale but cool spot. Surprised how big the camp ground was, could fit heaps of people in but saw no one. . .

Popped out at the bottom end of Milmed Track, time to air up and head out through Rainbow. Such a good trip and area will defiantly have to re-visit.
