help with power steering fluid for 2008 Patrol
Good morning all,
So I just purchased a 08 Patrol in Quito Ecuador. The manual was in it when I test drove it but when I picked the vehicle up on Thursday it was gone. Aprently the person in charge of cleaning the Patrol before I picked it up took it out. All that said I noticed over the weekend that the steering is a little stiff. Checked powers steering fluid and it is low. Some help on what kind of fluid and procedure for making sure I don't over fill it.
THanks
Aaron

Hi mate. Welcome here. You can't overfill it, it will overflow. Check tyre pressure. If it is low PS fluid it will often make a whining noise where steering at low speed.
Consider a Swivel Hub Rebuild as a renovation / overhaul of the front end. Makes a huge difference to how it feels to steer.
There is a comprehensive How Too thread in the DIY section.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Patrol God
For what it's worth . One time I picked up my 2009 GU from Nissan after a major service including power steering . As soon as I drove out of there realised stiff steering and a screeching noise .
Drove straight back in, and it turns out they didn't bleed the system supposedly after full re flush.
I didn't even know PS needed a bleed until then.
Might be worth checking out.
