Long time no post, got snowed under at work, marking student's assessments and all...
But managed to find time to grab parts needed to finish the front axle off.
Bought the following;
- Hub egg rings
- Hub spacers
- CV nut with tool (GU 2 prong version)
- Mate ordered swivel bearing cap kit
Bought RHS indicator with body loom and plug as mine is cracked and previous owner decided to hardwire it into sub loom in the indicator itself.
Tomorrow, it's spanner time! Hopefully I'll get bolts for bullbar and clips for front grill to be affixed to the radiator support.
Will I get it done before xmas? Stay tuned and find out.

Lokka has new dowel pins, nearly broke mate who installed the springs, had to calm him down a lot and suggested few ways to put the springs in.

Today’s progress has been slower than we’d liked to but progress is progress.
Spindles on both ends is assembled before going in the axle. Just waiting for another time to take front diff out and transfer lokka centre in that pumpkin then bolt it in, grease the CV’s, put it back together.
Currently my mate is egging me on to buy a winch so he doesn’t want me to put the bullbar and worry about winch later!
Apparently there’s not much cradles available for ol Q, might have to go to Patrol-a-part and see if they have one.

No progress lately, I’ve been busy partying, planning for 2020 at work and mate is constantly knackered, hopefully I’ll get to spanner on it this weekend depending on said mate’s availability.
Been pondering if 33x12.5 will pass roady first go with Bunnings flares or if I need to get narrower tyres - my flares are rooted so that need removing, my mud flaps are for narrow pack.
Decisions decisions...

Got to work on the Mav while hangover from the party last night.
Took the original diff out and discovered its 3.9 not 4.11 as I’d originally assumed, so we’re swapping diff centres as we can’t be bothered finding rear 4.11.
Took out some of stereo wiring as it doesn’t have speakers in and CB as it isn’t even connected.

Current update: Lokka is in and mate’s assembling front end now, so far he has installed RHS CV, kingpin bearings.
Hopefully we’ll be able to have axle assembled.
